This project is structured in two phases.
The first phase is to work with the 31 member houses across the CHAOS Network to educate house staff, volunteers & committees around problem related gambling. The aim is to assist the houses to have the confidence to actively consider new and existing opportunities with a “reduction gambling harm” lens.
A public health approach is being used to raise general community awareness around gambling related harm. The aim is to educate around the effects of gambling related harm. We also aim to decrease stigma among those who are at risk, or who are experiencing gambling related harm directly or indirectly may seek help through support services.
The second phase is to resource CHAOS member houses to work with community and partners to identify groups at risk of gambling related harm and develop locally relevant strategies to reduce risk.
